Planning Construction Work?
Before starting any type of construction work, it is essential to consult with the Town Hall to determine which documents need to be submitted. You can meet in person with a technician for guidance. Please note that you will need to explain your plans in Spanish.

There are various types of documents required depending on the size and nature of the construction work you are planning.

Below you can see 2 of the 3 pages of the declaration with fields that need to be completed. The numbered sections are explained below.
(1) - Name and Surname
(2) - NIE number
(3) - Address
(4) - Postcode
(5) - Town (Hondón de las Nieves)
(6) - Telephone number
(7) - Email address
(8) - How would you like to be contacted? In order to receive notifications via email, you need to have a valid Digital Signature.
(9) - Address where the work is to be carried out. Normally it is just your home address again.
(10) - House 'Catastral' number, which can be found on your house purchase documents. Leave this space blank if you are not sure. Optional.
(11) - Briefly describe the type of work you are planning. Write it in Spanish.
(12) - The estimated cost for the work. You can use the builder's quote. The cost should be without VAT (IVA).
(13) - You can include the builders details: name and (14) telephone number. Optional.
(15) - By default, you are giving authorization to the Town Hall of Hondón de las Nieves to consult or verify the necessary data and information, available in other administrations, for the processing of this request. If you DON'T wish to give this authorization, MARK the field with an X.

Form completed. What is next?
When you submit this completed form to the Town Hall, they will calculate the payment due. You will be given a payment slip, which you must take to your bank to make the payment. Once the payment is made, return the payment confirmation to the Town Hall desk. Afterward, you will receive the necessary documents confirming your approval, and you can begin the work immediately.
The payment to the town hall is 3.5% of the cost of the work:
2.4% - construction tax
1.1% - administrative fee
